weekend getaway
after receiving heavy painful blows from our oversized Business Research instructor during the oral defense on Saturday morning, i was really exhausted and was ready to collapse and throw up at the same time(how) while riding the trisikad on my way home. the family had planned to go to Malabuyoc for the weekend where a fiesta is celebrated. i wouldnt have gone if not on my mother's insistence. "you come with us or you stay here alone with no food no water,no nothing and starve to death." some exaggeration there. thirty minutes after 1PM, we were on our way to the south. we had to stop at Gaisano Fiesta Mall first to pick up my mother's two close friends whom she had invited to come. one of them is my ninang doray, the other my older sister's ninang, auntie mars. i miss my older sister. she cant come with us. she doesnt live with us anymore, at least for a month. shes reviewing for the board exams, staying at a seminary in the city. its family trips like this that makes me and the youngest, Julia miss her. who can we pick on now? it would have been fun to tease her from the house all the way to our destination which is 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. luckily, my ninang doray has a machine gun mouth. when she starts to talk, she cant seem to stop and it wasnt bad. we enjoyed the long trip. we arrived in my uncle's house at about five and ate food.(the SOP) although my sister and i wanted to go to the beach or the river, we couldnt for it was getting dark in that place.
after dinner at about 7pm, we laid down on a mat placed in the front yard and watched the sky above. it was really cool eventhough there werent so much stars that night. too many clouds above and the moon was hazy. i slept on the floor dreaming about the day ahead.
morning came. i got up quickly, changed clothes, went outside, pushed my sister and my father to make haste (they came along) and headed for the beach with two sleepy people behind. the sight that i saw didnt fail my expectations. the sea breeze was refreshing, the water cool and calm. the stones smooth beneath my bare feet. i love the beach. i love the water. the sun was coming up now, so we decided to go to the river and make "panghinaw-naw" there hehe. we had to walk to get to what they call "kabutungan". we hiked through the greens, met some local folks on the way, saw some carabaos and cows and goats grazing, stayed alert for landmines of different form from different animals, took a path to the right, went deeper and got lost. my sister would never become a good hike master for she led the way to who knows where. but we figured out our way back to the right path in not more than 20 minutes. we took the wrong turn 20 minutes ago but now are facing a beautiful work of nature. ( i dont know how to narrate the events that happened next, hahaay, beauty is so hard to express. i'll just post a picture of the place) i dont know how to describe it. the place is not very tourist spot material but i like it because its untouched and i dont know..toingkk!!

where in the south is malabuyoc? after what town/city? unahan pa na sa argao? is that you family's province?
it's always great to come home to your probinsya. ours (my mother's side) is in negros occidental. my grandparents' and auties' house are also a walking distance from the sea shore. behind their house is a hill and the woods. mabuntag bugnaw kaayo ang tubig and ang hangin fresh kaayo. it's such a nice place, but you only realize that the moment you leave it and you're back in the city.
yes unahan pa..pero diri ka moagi sa pikas dalan..kanang dalan padulong barili..next man tngai na siya sa alegria. ako uncle naa man balay didto, so didto mi nag stay, fiesta man pud. ako papa taga cebu ra man jud pero taga bohol(inabanga) iya mama, ako mama kay negros iya province..sa dumaguete. lagi nindot jud ayo probinsya noh, ako ganahan kay bohol kay probinsya jud kaayo ba nya ang mga tawo kay taga probinsya jud kaayo ug dating. abtika nimo mo comment gud, wa pa gani ni mahuman nga blog entry..hehe
hehe.. :)
i've also been to bohol twice or so. it's also a beautiful place. pero ang tagbilaran... murag colon... dili kaayo gwapo pagka-urbanize.
i like the places outside the city. clean kaayo ang dagat.
