ober da bakod

the stations stopped regular programming in observance of the holy week. this was a good idea especially because instead of the primetime telenovelas, koreanovelas, fantaseryes, etc. the stations aired old tagalog movies and television specials. i like things old as much as the new.
last night, i watched ober da bakod in the kapuso network. it was the movie version of the comedy sitcom ober da bakod with janno gibbs and anjo yllana. the scenes were cliche and absurd. most of the time silly and corny. but i found it all very entertaining. very funny!! i loved the part when don robert (leo martinez) was chased by a big big shark..the shark even crawled up to shore. also found itself on a treetop.

another scene that almost knocked me off the chair laughing so hard..

(plane about to crash)

pilot1: (panicking) mayday! mayday!
pilot2(with congenital cleft): (surprised) mayday? mayday? may mayday? (enthusiastically) happy mayday nu you! happy mayday nu you!
