pirates
i just love johnny depp. he's so funny and smooth in his latest movie. i went to watch pirates of the caribbean today with stephen. (too bad he can't laugh with me. maybe he didnt like the movie or maybe the comedy didn't get through him.)
i liked the part where the three lead actors had a three way swordfight on a big wood wheel rolling down from uphill. that was really funny and exciting. also that part when captain jack sprayed pepper on himself. oh and also that when he looked like a fruit kebab hehe. oh and.
i wouldnt mind being one of captain jack sparrow's crew even though he's such a selfish character. between capt jack and capt david?'s, the literally heartless captain, shipcrew to join, id no doubt choose capt jack. who would want to have tuna fish for crewmates, and weird humans with shark heads or coral faces. lol. or get slashed behind as punishment. or be ally with that giant foul-breathed octopus.
i wonder if there still exists pirates with real pirate costumes and talking bird sidekicks. i know some pirates here. theyre in the sidewalks selling pirates of the caribbean.hehe in dvd and vcd format. check 'em out :-)
we have our very own pirate here in Cebu 4 centuries ago. the first Philippine national hero, Lapu Lapu was actually a pirate by profession. yeah. at least that's what sir blix said. his job is to grab goods from merchants bound for the ports in Cebu. rajah humabon, then ruler of Cebu, was one of those affected by Lapu Lapu's habit so when the spaniards came, he alllied with Mr. Magellan to fight off his fellow visayan. and history tells us that the foreign conqueror wasnt very lucky that day. that was a long long long time ago.
now a different kind of piracy exists not just in cebu but in other parts of the world too. in most parts i guess with media players and people/market. almost anything can be pirated, films, clothes, accessories, intellectual rights, labor..anything,everything.
