im just gonna write a run through of the things we did in boracay last week. it's been 4 days since then but i still have that bora hangover. i could want to go back anytime but i dont think it wont be as much fun anymore. so i guess i wont.
well it was really great...much much fun. more than what we'd expected.
1. boarded a plane and what a coincidence, donah was in the same plane! i thought that would be my first all-by-myself plane ride, but donah ruined that fantasy! not really, it was nice to see her. we were both surprised. and man the chattering didnt stop.
2. met with friends at the caticlan airport. mmmm besos mucho, mwah mwah. it's so good to have everyone at one place.
3. checked in a room and found that the place was great. not bad at all.
4. rode on an all terrain vehicle (atv) courtesy of jopet, by the way, most of the expenses were shouldered by jopet...thanks pet, keep up the good work hehe.
5. using our ATVs, we went to mt luho the highest peak in boracay and took pictures.
6. went swimming at the beach and spotted a guy who was surfing. kaycee and i borrowed his surfboard and went surfing (or tried surfing). it was fun. the guy invited us to dinner at the restaurant he works for called obama.
7. went on a night out on a thursday night. where are the peeps of bora? not much fun.
8. beautiful day! had breakfast at the pension house we spent the night in. it was ok. im glad to be with friends.
9. it was time for our friends to leave for manila, kaycee and i were the only ones left in the island. we planned for our survival in the island. so i bought 2 liters of water, (kaycee bought 1 liter), bananas, cookies and pasalubong. that should do it. we will live.
10. we had settled for an inn just a few meters from where we were staying with friends originally. we paid 800 for it. i think.
11. the woman who took us to the inn (who gets commission for it from the owner) offered to braid our hair for 150 i think. we managed to get her to lower it to 75 pesos. kaycee and i took a nap and woke up when we heard a knock on the door from the woman. she was with her niece who also knows how to braid hair. she told us they know exactly what to do..they know which style would fit the shape of your head or which style is best for the facial features and all that. when the woman started to braid my hair, i knew there was something. it just didnt feel nice on me. i asked her to stop and asked for a mirror. my golly, my hair looks like that of the girl in matanglawin...the young one who was on starstruck, the very talkative girl. it was so amateur.. i thought for a while that it was my 6 year old cousin who did that. completely unacceptable. i asked for it to be redone. the woman said she will let her niece do it as her hands are very tired already. (hmmmp i think she was just embarrassed because she knew that i already knew that she doesnt really know how to braid hair! and that i wouldn't put up with such lies, her advertising, her marketing, her deceitful sales talk) i asked mine to be redone in the style of as kaycee's. and so kaycee thought her's was really done well. well not really, but it was better than mine. we paid them. and laughed at ourselves coz we looked so funny.
12. kaycee and i went to eat at obama's. it was a sosyal restaurant. and i think that the guy who we borrowed the surfboard from is the supervisor. but at that night he didnt go to our table. he didnt dare either. i think he was hiding from us. we couldve had free dinner. whatever. the food wasnt that great anyway. kaycee and i ordered something that looks like humba and a squid. the squid was so small i think it is only about 3 weeks old. it's like pusit hehe so small. it looked even smaller coz of the big platter it was served on. kaycee and i laughed at ourselves again. we try all our best to save money but we always end up spending more.
13. after dinner we went back to the inn to get a nap and get our bodies ready for the night out.
14. time for the night out. first we hit the seaside chill out bar where they played live music. real nice and relaxing. we had juice and a mudslide. it was very nice, for me at least.
15. we headed off to the club after relaxing. we danced yes real nice. got the body moving. there was a group of koreans on the dance floor. they danced up to us. they ordered drinks and we drank i believe vodka on the dance floor. after two shots i felt dizzy. so kaycee and i moved on to the bar. where we ordered a shot of tequilas for each of us. we needed more. kaycee wanted to be drunk that night. i think she got what she wanted.
16. we walked out of that club, crossed the street and found ourselves dancing in another club. it seems that when we're on the dance floor, the people would get on their feet too and dance. which is fun. the more the merrier. a group of guys danced up to us again and offered us drinks. i didnt drink, kaycee did. she wanted to get drunk. and she did.
17. the guys at that club were very possessive? i would say. so kaycee and i left and we ran..on the beach...barefoot... i think the people at the club would think that we're crazy. who cares. doing so would bring us back to our normal selves i think. and shake the dizziness off.
18. we stopped to rest at the lantay where we also planned to stay for the night if we couldnt find a room. kaycee phoned andrei who was worried about her. and then we went back to our room to sleep.
19. early morning, we went to the beach. we walked along the shoreline. i jogged at some point. it was a nice place to jog. there just a lot of sea garbage/wastes seaweeds in the morning. and there were medium sized waves.
20. kaycee and i decided to take a dip. it was great. and then we thought we'd go skinny dipping. but just the top. so we took our bikini tops off in the water. no one was up too early to see. although i think it was about 7am already. there was one woman though but we dont care much. and then we put our tops back on. i think it was a nice experience. very liberating. i thought who cares what i do, nobody knows me here anyway and if somebody does, i dont care anyway. but just a thought.
