having a good time
this month is filled with lots of activities and extra curricular thingies. last week is a whole lot of fun. all of a sudden, people took an interest in volleyball. a volleyball competition was held in our school gym and it was just so awesome that kaycee and i never missed a game. we never thought we could do the things that we did. we weren't so much into the game, what we were after of are the players of the different teams. there were five teams: philippines, macau, chinese taipei, indonesia and my least favorite tonga.
we treated the players like stars..hehe took pictures of them, with them, shook hands, congratulated, thanked them, wished them luck, searched them on the net, emailed them after 2 days (this one i did in two days, kaycee i think will email tomorrow or the next day or the next..), even waited for them after each game. we seemed like obsessed fans especially of the macau player Lo Tak Wai. the chinese sure have funny names. sounds cute though. kaycee and i really like Lo because he is so nice and i don't know.
i don't like the tongans because they are tonggohon/kunggohon whichever word you like to use. they're so "touchy". the taiwanese are cool guys, one of them even danced on stage .. gara-gara pud. the indonesians, of whom we really spent a lot of moment with (we were allowed inside their change room), are nice too. problem is they aren't very good english speakers so when you say something like "what is your name?" expect something like "yes, bali indonesia".. but very nice guys with nice heights. philippines..yes the philippine team was received warmly by the cebuano people..except for a few boo's here and there..i said cebuanos are warm, loving and caring people!! i like alinsunurin. here comes the best...macau. yep, the crowd, dominated by women in their teens, went crazy over this team. the crowd especially liked their libero, Lei (who didn't win best libero as the title was taken by the taipei libero and failed to win as the most popular player since billy tongco stole that from him too) because of his anime looks and anime moves. stop watching anime guys, leave that to me! and joyo who is a die hard fan of anime. i don't watch much anime now though but what i don't understand is why i'm getting off the topic. and we're back. kaycee has a theory on why Lei didn't win as most popular player..it's because, according to her, Lei does not mingle with the fans so much. it's hard to have a photo taken with him or having to speak with him or having to go to lunch with him or having to go to school with him (the last two are exaggerated and kind of annoying now, i am so sleepy but i can't stop now) while Billy Tongco on the other hand is sweet and charming, blends in with the crowd, shakes hands with his fans and does a lot of things that pulls people to him. why am i making such a big fuss on this event? i am supposed to be a big star, with universal status like kaycee and jopet. i am turning the games and players into a big deal. oh well, i don't mind anyway, it feels good to have your attention so focused on something that you would trade doing your auditing focus concept paper to be passed and defended tomorrow for an hour of sitting on a hard chair that gets warmer every minute, typing on the keyboard about things that have happened and has less than 1% chance of happening again, and wracking your brains for things that would sound good once people read them. it feels good..if it's good, it can't hurt you..maybe
check out my other blog, it's where i place pictures (preserved moments=)) for photos of some of the players of the volleyball competition. http://keidayoko.blogspot.com/
